*Kevin Hart is heading back to Netflix with a comedy that sounds like a recipe for disaster — and a whole lot of laughs. The streaming giant has set a July 24 release date for “72 Hours,” a new film directed by Tim Story that puts Hart’s character in the middle of a generational collision he never saw coming.

Per Tudum, Hart plays a 40-year-old executive whose stumbling career takes an unexpected detour after he is mistakenly added to a group chat and winds up at a Miami bachelor party thrown by a pack of Gen Z twentysomethings. What follows is three days of chaos that the film’s first-look images suggest will be anything but forgettable. The screenplay comes from Matt Mider, Kevin Burrows, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg.

Story and Hart are no strangers to each other, and the director brings a proven track record in crowd-pleasing comedy, having previously helmed “Barbershop,” “Think Like a Man,” and “Ride Along.” The two re-team here with a cast that blends established names with some of television’s freshest faces.

Joining Hart on screen are Mason Gooding, known for “Scream 7,” along with Marcello Hernandez, Ben Marshall, and Kam Patterson, all current cast members of “Saturday Night Live.” Zach Cherry, recognizable from the thriller series “Severance,” also appears alongside Teyana Taylor (“One Battle After Another”) and veteran actor Andy Garcia (“Ocean’s Eleven.”)

Behind the scenes, the producing team is equally stacked. Hart and Story produced alongside John Davis, Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, Josh Heald, Luke Kelly-Clyne, Bryan Smiley, and Will Packer.

“72 Hours” will stream exclusively on Netflix beginning July 24. Check out imagery from the movie below.
