Inspired by Dillard’s love for New York, his fashion and skateboarding influences, and growing up in a household of women, “Girls In NY” is described as a love letter to both women and the city. “I want them to feel like the shit, because they are,” Dillard says of the track.
The vibrant video takes place at a dive-bar party, where Dillard performs alongside Reese. The visual also reflects his bold approach to fashion, including a standout Supreme fur coat, as Dillard channels influences such as Tyler, the Creator, A$AP Rocky and Pharrell.
The video comes after Dillard and NYC-based photographer Disposable Relli hosted an open casting call to bring New Yorkers into the visual and build community around the project.
Fresh off his debut on Bravo’s Summer House, Dillard is continuing to establish himself as a musician while balancing his work as a professional skateboarder, model and fashion personality.
