Legal Aid SA notes planned industrial action by SALAWU
Lega Aid SA says it has activated appropriate measures to minimise disruption to services.
Legal Aid South Africa says it notes the 48-hour notice of industrial action issued by the South African Legal Workers Union (SALAWU) indicating that industrial action is scheduled to commence on Wednesday.
Legal Aid SA says, in a statement, it respects the constitutional rights of employees to participate in this lawful and protected industrial action.
However, the organization says it remains committed to safeguarding access to justice for vulnerable and indigent persons.
