Malema proposes R4 500 monthly grant for pensioners
EFF leader Julius Malema says pensioners should be paid a monthly grant of R4 500
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema says pensioners should be paid a monthly grant of R4 500, saying that many are the backbone of their families.
Malema was speaking at the launch of the EFF’s provincial manifesto in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, where scores of supporters gathered.
He says there is enough money available, but alleges that funds are being misappropriated.
“There’s no one here who can ever say grand-mom never looked after me, they are all the products of grandmothers that’s why the money must go to them because they look after our children, we must support them and fight for them, because fighting for them is fighting for black families, they are the heads of black families.”
