THE first-ever Maple Ridge Vaisakhi Samagam was held on Sunday, April 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Memorial Peace Park. Organized by the Ridge Meadows South Asian Cultural Association, this public event featured a Nagar Kirtan, live Kirtan music, and free Langar. Organizer Simi Khanna said they were expecting about 500 people to show up, but about 5,000 turned up!
