MTN Uganda Extends Y’ello Care Campaign to Strengthen Digital Healthcare in Luuka

MTN Uganda Foundation  has extended its 21 Days of Y’ello Care campaign to Luuka, focusing on strengthening digital skills and healthcare access at the community level.

As part of the initiative at Kiyunga Health Centre IV, MTN Uganda trained medical records officers on the Electronic Medical Records Information System (EMRIS), while Village Health Teams and Community Health Workers received digital literacy training.

The programme also introduced women to clinicPesa, a digital savings service that enables them to save towards childbirth and related healthcare expenses.

MTN Uganda Foundation said the activities are aimed at equipping frontline healthcare workers with the digital skills and tools needed to improve service delivery and expand access to health information within local communities.

The Luuka activities form part of MTN’s broader #21DaysOfYelloCare campaign, which focuses on promoting more equitable access to healthcare and strengthening community-based health systems.
