In the latest episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” the women support Angela as she grieves her mother. Plus, Dennis triggers Porsha when he returns her engagement ring.
Here are the highlights for “Shady Texts and Bigger Regrets.”
Shamea defends not inviting Porsha to Gerald’s birthday party.
Cynthia visits Shamea at her home. In a green screen interview, Cynthia says she saw a very confrontational side of Shamea during the trip to Dallas. So she wanted to meet to see what is going on with her lately.
Shamea defends not inviting Porsha to Gerald’s surprise birthday party. She says she invited Dennis because he still has a good relationship with Gerald, and the children play together. Regardless, Cynthia points out that Porsha invited Shamea to her recent event. So it doesn’t make sense that Shamea couldn’t do the same for the good of the group.
Regardless, Shamea feels like her actions are justified since Porsha made comments about her marriage that she didn’t like in their last text message exchange.
Grief has been hard on Angela.
Angela spends some time with her brother while watching her daughter play at a park. They are close but haven’t seen each other in a while. Angela tells him she is still taking their mother’s death hard. She can go days and not think about her death, but then it comes back in waves, and it’s tough.
Her brother understands how she feels. He questions if her oldest daughter has been around, and Angela says it’s complicated because she hasn’t told her younger siblings she recently married a woman.
Phaedra comes through for Kelli.
Kelli visits Phaedra at her office. Phaedra is representing Kelli in her contentious divorce. She wants Kelli to try to get child support from her estranged husband. Phaedra has decided not to charge Kelli for her services since she knows what it’s like to go through a divorce.
Drew invites Cynthia, Porsha, Phaedra, and Angela over. They crack jokes and discuss Drew’s confusing tension with Shamea and K. Michelle. She tells them the recent sit-down she had with both flopped since K. Michelle and Shamea left before anything could be resolved.
After Drew jokingly gifts Porsha a piece of rainbow cake, Porsha offers her a slice as well, considering the past rumors about Drew and Ty Young.
Pinky throws a skate party in conjunction with a Slutty Vegan food truck and invites all the ladies out. It also happens to be the one-year anniversary of the death of Angela’s mother. Porsha gifts Angela a beautiful framed picture of her mother, and Pinky gifts her flowers.
The group has a fun night with no drama for once.
Porsha has a triggering conversation with Dennis.
Dennis visits Porsha to return her engagement ring. She immediately questions why he is doing this. She suspects Dennis only brought the ring back to trigger her.
Porsha becomes emotional and gives the ring back. Although Dennis claims he is only returning the ring because it looks as if Porsha is moving on (too fast, in his opinion), Porsha feels like Dennis is being mean-spirited.
In a confessional, Porsha says she hasn’t gotten back together with Dennis because they argue too much and she refuses to display this toxicity in front of their daughter.
