Scepta and Skanks The Rap Martyr Drop “JUGGLING” — A Powerful Rap and Reggae Fusion, Warning the Youths About Street Life

Accomplished Reggae artist Scepta and Brooklyn lyricist Skanks The Rap Martyr have joined forces on a new cross-genre anthem titled “JUGGLING.” The dynamic single blends the raw energy of Hip-Hop with the heartbeat of Reggae to deliver a powerful message to the youth — a cautionary tale about getting caught up in the streets and the heavy sacrifices that come with it.

Produced and engineered by Lamar Reynolds aka LMR Pro and executive produced by World Scann Family, "JUGGLING" reminds listeners that not every hustle leads to peace.

The official video, directed by Martyr Scorcesse and co-directed by One I Entertainment, captures the essence of urban struggle and spiritual resilience, while the accompanying lyrics video further drives the warning home through vivid imagery.

The idea for the "JUGGLING" collaboration was sparked by Scepta’s son, Sean, who encouraged his father to DJ on a rap beat. After an initial partnership fell through, Scepta sought a new collaborator and was introduced to Skanks The Rap Martyr, whose lyrical sharpness and social awareness made him the perfect fit.

“Once Skanks dropped his verse, we knew this one was special,” recalls Scepta. Filmed between spring and fall, the visual came together despite tight schedules and the duo’s demanding independent careers.

Scepta (pronounced “Septa”) is a seasoned Reggae artist whose message-driven catalog reflects truth, awareness, and dignity. Having started in New York as part of Culture Roots International Sound System and later performing across Jamaica, the U.S., Grenada, and Canada, he’s shared stages with icons such as Marcia Griffiths, Judy Mowatt, Yellowman, Brigadier Jerry, and Luciano. His growing body of work includes collaborations with Mykal Rose and Little Twitch, as well as singles like Give Thanks, Mount Zion Street, and Disinformation.

Skanks The Rap Martyr, also known as The Flowfessional, hails from Crown Heights, Brooklyn. As co-founder of Bankai Fam, he’s recognized for his commanding live performances and prolific discography — with over a dozen albums and mixtapes released through his Anarchy Records imprint. His grounded lyricism bridges street reality with higher insight, complementing Scepta’s Reggae depth.

At its core, "JUGGLING" is more than music — it’s a warning and a prayer for the next generation. “It’s about steering the youths away from destruction,” says Skanks. “We juggle life every day, but not every ball is meant to be caught.”
