STLCC professor selected for writing programs
Ellen Usher, an English professor at St. Louis Community College-Forest Park, has been selected for two writing programs. Ellen Usher, an English professor at St. Louis Community College-Forest Park, has been selected for two writing programs.
Invest STL named Usher a resident storyteller fellow in its Neighborhood Storytelling Practice pilot program, which focuses on community-based storytelling in North St. Louis.
Usher also received Gotham Writing Group’s 2025 Writers of Color Screenwriting Scholarship. She is taking screenwriting courses and developing several projects, including an original television drama series set in St. Louis.
