Stunning Looks From Lagos Fashion Week 2025

When it comes to Fashion Week, cities like Paris, New York and Milan are probably the first places that come to mind. But there’s another major city that is establishing itself as a center of style – Lagos, Nigeria.

Lagos Fashion Week was founded in 2011 by Omoyemi Akerele, a lawyer and stylist who was looking for an opportunity to showcase the best and brightest in the fashion industry from the largest city in Africa and shine a light on its rich tradition of creativity and craftsmanship.

“One of the reasons why I decided to launch into this ambitious initiative was to provide an opportunity for bringing people together for a common vision, which is to have the industry thrive … to create a semblance of an industry where there previously wasn’t any,” she told Harper’s BAZAAR.

This year, fashion lovers gathered from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2 for a preview of more than 70 designers’ Spring-Summer 2026 collections. In case you missed it, we’ve rounded up some of the most stunning looks that were on display for Lagos Fashion Week 2025.
