By Zoila Palma: Today, the Department of Transport held the opening ceremony for the Inter-Agency Traffic Enforcement Capacity Building Programme.
The multi-module curriculum is set to enhance the expertise, core skills, and field capabilities of traffic enforcement personnel across multiple road safety agencies.
This training brings together facilitators from the Bureau of Standards, the Department of Transport, and Caribbean Forensic Services to educate officers on modern regulatory standards, current legislation, and advanced enforcement equipment, such as breathalyzers.
This is a joint effort between the Ministry of Transportation, the Department of Transport, and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), through the Belize Automobile Touring Association (BATA).
