UPDF aims to boost survival chances against URA at Bombo

Friday April 4, 2026

  • Military barracks Ground, Bombo 4pm

Following their impressive 5-2 win over BUL at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru, UPDF host URA at Bombo aiming to enhance survival chances.

The army side are now on 20 points, in 12th position and five points above the last side occupying the relegation zone.

At home, they will be favourites to get past Hussein Mbalangu’s men who are also performing abysmally this season.

The two sides are separated by three points with URA in 11th place with 23 points.

Despite leading early in the game away to Police in their previous game, they lost which left Mbalangu and his bench fuming as they also missed a penalty through captain Moses Aliro.

Enrique Lubwama, Samson Kigozi and Emmanuel Ochen will be crucial for the hosts but must be wary of the threat from Aliro, Bunyaga and company in the URA colours.

Elsewhere on the day, two late kick off with BUL visiting Express at Nakivubo and NEC hosting Mbarara City at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo.
