The Artemis II moon crew on Monday flew farther than humans have ever gone before as they cruised through a rare flyby of the shadowed far side of the moon. But, starting on Tuesday, the four astronauts embarked on their long journey back to earth.

The second part of their lunar journey continues their free-return trajectory as they fall back towards the earth under its massive gravity.

NASA’s latest data indicates that the Orion capsule’s current trajectory will see them reach the earth on Friday, 10 April.
