Xuvo Reigns Supreme! Full Lucian Carnival 2026 Winners Revealed as Organizers Hail Festival’s Biggest Success 

The curtains have officially fallen on Lucian Carnival 2026, with organizers unveiling the highly anticipated parade and road competition results after what has been described as one of the most successful editions of the festival in recent history. 

From dazzling costumes and electrifying performances to fierce competition across every category, this year’s Carnival delivered an unforgettable spectacle that organizers say has firmly cemented Saint Lucia’s reputation as home to one of the Caribbean’s premier Carnival experiences. 

At the centre of the celebrations was Xuvo Carnival Band, which captured the coveted Band of the Year title with its stunning presentation, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” amassing 414 points. The victory came after an intense battle with Tribe of Twel, whose presentation “Gold” finished just six points behind on 408, while Fusion Mass secured third place with 400 points for “F1: The Race of Life.” Xuvo also claimed the Best Designed Band award for its exceptional costume craftsmanship. 

While Xuvo dominated the overall competition, Tribe of Twel celebrated significant success by winning Best Portrayal, while Sharon Tana walked away with the prestigious Individual of the Year title after earning 431 points for her outstanding performance. 

The excitement extended into the early hours of Carnival Monday as Back in Time J’ouvert Band secured first place in the J’ouvert Competition with “The Power of the Earth.” Legends Carnival Band won the Spirit of Carnival award, while Fusion Mass added another accolade by taking the Mass on the Move title. 

In the ever-popular Ole Mas competition, Julian “Bull” Calderon emerged victorious with his satirical portrayal, “At My Age, I Have Everything Going For Me.” Arthur Charles finished second, Carlton Ishmael placed third and Roland Cox rounded out the top four. 

Music also took centre stage as “Biscuit” by Andrew, Tally Boy and Sedale was crowned the 2026 Road March Champion, while “Bum Bum Whistle” secured second place, followed by “Salute” in third and “Actimo” in fourth. 

Carnival Planning and Management Committee Chairperson Tamara Gibson described the 2026 festival as a spectacular success, saying the event has continued to grow since its 2023 rebranding and has proven that Saint Lucia offers one of the region’s most vibrant, authentic and welcoming Carnival experiences. Organizers also thanked sponsors, emergency responders and thousands of revellers whose participation helped make this year’s festival a resounding success as the countdown to Lucian Carnival 2027 officially begins.
