By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 19-year-old construction worker was injured in an early-morning shooting in Belize City on Sunday following the Jouvert in July event.
Police say the incident occurred at approximately 4:55 a.m. on July 26 as Arnize Young was walking along Cemetery Road.
Two men travelling on a motorcycle reportedly approached and fired several shots in Young’s direction, causing him to sustain gunshot injuries.
Young’s injuries have been classified as non-life-threatening. Police have not announced a motive or any arrests as their investigation continues.
