When there is nothing to do, the cooperative collaborative efforts of a purifying Chef, a virtuoso Musician, an invigorating DJ, the LGTBQ Black Owned Bookstore, and a Grammy Award Winning Rapper are some of the analogous ingredients needed in bridging the gaps in communities.

He has 2 Chainz, is a multi-platinum selling artist and Grammy Award Recipient, and restaurateur of multiple restaurants—such as the number one vegan pizzeria in  Atlanta, Pizza Verdura Sincera—just to name a few of his accomplishments, and his true story continues. This is the ‘write the book’ era, and when that idea comes to mind, listen and move on it. Becoming an author is a certified way of leaving behind a physical copy of a legacy, in the writer’s own words, that remains infinitely tangible even when their energy returns to the ethereal.

2 Chainz is the author of his instant New York Times Bestselling memoir, The Voice in my Head is God. In a multi-city book tour, 2 Chainz stopped in Las Vegas at  the College of Southern Nevada Nicholas J. Horne Theater for a deep-rooted conversation and book signing, produced and hosted by a friend, former Universal Music Group affiliate, and prominent Vegan Master Chef, Stacey Dougan of Simply Pure LV.

Chef Stacey, joined forces with Las Vegas native and music producer Coco Jenkins, creator of There’s Nothing To Do in Vegas (NTDLV)—Las Vegas’ premier platform for keeping the city connected to local artists and curators of culture—and Downtown Las Vegas’ vinyl and literary mecca, The Analog Dope Store, to bring this communion into fruition, immersed in the sounds spun by UNLV DJ Course Instructor, DJ Kelly J.

In the fireside chat, the ‘I’m Different’ rapper, discusses evolving from Titi Boi to 2 Chainz and how in these chapters of his life, he is focused on revitalizing the origins of just being ‘Toni’ and the importance of staying true to your differences while being open to evolving. 2 Chainz takes pride in listening to the Women in his life, and he mentions in his “Women Are Born Superheroes” chapter, he believes that when Women are tapped in with it, their intuition should not be ignored. “Whatever you put inside, the outside is a receipt,” says 2 Chainz. In his “Health Kick” chapter, he talks about how vital his physical health has been in keeping his mind clear and how that clarifies his inner guidance.

The Voice in My Head is God “is a reminder that the voice inside you, the one you do not always want to hear, just might be the one that saves you.”
