In just 90 minutes, the Black Funding Network community came together for our 10th Funder in 6 years, and raised a total of over £20,000 – beating our £6,000 target for each of the three incredible Black-led grassroots organisations we supported. This wasn’t just a Funding event; it was a celebration of what happens when communities unite with open hearts and a shared belief in collective power.

On Thursday, 16th April, something truly special happened.
In just 90 minutes, the Black Funding Network community came together for our 10th Funder in 6 years, and raised a total of over £20,000 – beating our £6,000 target for each of the three incredible Black-led grassroots organisations we supported. This wasn’t just a Funding event; it was a celebration of what happens when communities unite with open hearts and a shared belief in collective power.
But here’s the beautiful thing: this movement doesn’t end with one night. It’s about all of us, including you, coming together to create lasting change. Meet the Organisations You’re Helping to Transform Lives
1. Black Men Teach
Mission: Empowering Black boys and young men through mentorship, education, and leadership development.
Impact: Their workshops and mentoring programs are breaking down stereotypes, building confidence, and creating pathways for young Black men to thrive in education and beyond.
Your Support Will Help: Expand their mentoring pipeline, remove financial barriers for schools, and strengthen their infrastructure to reach even more young people.
2. Proud To Be Me
Mission: Uplifting disadvantaged girls and young women through trauma-informed leadership, employability, and entrepreneurship programs.
Impact: Their “Her Power Her Peace” initiative provides safe spaces, coaching, and peer education for girls who have been failed by mainstream services—helping them reclaim their confidence, voice, and future.
Your Support Will Help: Fund workshops, coaching, and community showcases where these young women can share their stories and inspire others.
3. Soccology
Mission: Using the power of football and therapy to build resilience, motivation, and mental wellbeing for young men in South London.
Impact: Their “Keep The Dream Alive!” program combines elite football training with psycho-education, transforming low mood and anxiety into achievement and stability for FREE to their participants.
Your Support Will Help: Provide facilities, coaches, therapists, and equipment for their life-changing programs and showcase events.
