A POT CALLING A KETTLE BLACK, BARROW HIMSELF NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED

By Ensa A.B Ceesay, Chief National Security Analyst

As a nation do we allow injustices of all types, shape or form as well as bullying, harassment, intimidation, or an act that could impede national security of The Gambia or infringement on personal liberties making you the alpha and omega or the God, judge, jury and the executioner?

The Wheelbarrow hegemony must not disenfranchise citizens and they should stop bullying Gambians by calling it fighting against corruption while they themselves are maggot filty rogue. This hegemony is shamelessly the most corrupt government harboring criminals prosecuted by law or adversity mentioned by courts and commissions for plundering state resources.

This government has shielded those people because they’re loyal to NPP. This is how unserious, disgusting, and vindictive they’re. Barrow and his deplorables have set bad precedence for not investigating adverse police brutalities, abuses of office, and economic crimes. If they had not investigated them then why now?

The Barrow government is indeed so shameless, incompetent, and good at selective justice. I’m calling on the IGP to investigate president Wheelbarrow for the unapproved billions spent by his office and lavishly wasting state resources

while the majority of Gambians continued to live in poverty and starvation. By looking at the poor quality of lives of the majority of Gambians it is evident that the wheelbarrow hegemony doesn’t resonate nor represent the majority of Gambians.

Both Rohey Malick Lowe and Talib Ahmed Bensouda should not be bullied or intimidated by the central government. Not being in the same party with Mayor Bensouda shouldn’t make anyone with conscience to agree to the compromised and illegitimate commission recommendations less than one month 5 days to elections. It’s a witch-hunt and Gambians must not allow individuals to be shut down simply because someone has all the state institutions at their disposal.

Adama Barrow is a danger to the peace and tranquility of the country. He only sees what benefits him without factoring the law and the greater peaceful coexistence of Gambians. Personal liberties should never be undermined due to indifference of our political beliefs. Barrow hegemony reminds me of Dema Conta’s monkey business song where the monkey thinks he’s hiding while the ugly part is out.

Yes, there has been procedural and administrative lapses by the mayors and chairmen of councils but most of these lapses were due to how poorly designed our local government has been making it so tough for councils to swiftly carry out their programs or activities. This needs to be restructured and make councils autonomous rather than heavily relying on government beaurocratical rules.

Also, I hold the same opinion about Gambia Immigration Department not relying on GPF thus separating it from The Gambian police force as the police is feeding off of GID. GID needs to be completely independent in decision making and in operational governance to make it a viable institution.

In conclusion, Mayor Talib Ahmed Bensouda, Rohey Malic Lowe and others are victims of smear campaigns, harassment, intimidation, bullying, and coercion! Every Gambian should condemn such a treacherous acts from a government that lives in the gutter calling others unclean tantamount to a kettle calling a pot black.
