A Stunning Outdoor Wedding in Chatsworth, CA

Kacee and Chris’s journey began in September 2022 at an interest meeting for a new singles ministry at The Church at Rocky Peak, a community Kacee had been rooted in since her childhood. For Chris, the evening represented another step in the leap of faith he had taken when moving to Los Angeles in 2020; arriving alone and knowing no one, he chose a seat next to Kacee and her friends, a simple decision that transformed an ordinary moment into the start of a life-changing connection. Over the next year, the two bonded over their shared dedication to serving within the ministry. In October 2023, a casual group outing turned into their first unofficial date, and the two have been inseparable ever since.

Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day.

Kacee and Chris had a wedding day that felt just like a storybook. They held their ceremony and a morning reception at the same church where they first met, which made the celebration very special. After taking a break in the afternoon, a choice they highly recommend, the couple gathered with their guests again for a smaller, more intimate evening reception. Throughout the day, Kacee and Chris felt surrounded by love and support from their friends and family. Every part of the wedding, from the flowers and the food to the coordination, turned out even more beautiful than they had ever imagined.

Wedding song, and the significance of the song:

We had both a morning reception first dance and an evening dance. Kacee chose “Take the World” by Johnnyswim; she’s a longtime fan of the duo and knew the first time she saw them in concert that this would be her wedding song. Chris selected “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?” by Roberta Flack, drawn to its gentle piano and timeless, heartfelt lyrics.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

We truly enjoy each other’s company and look forward to continuing to grow together. We’re especially excited to travel more, create new memories, and build a family.
