Within this community, Black Lives Matter UK, in collaboration with BME Volunteers CIC, takes a leading role in the Funders, Abolitionist, and Allies Working Group. Black News UK Programme Manager/Facilitator: 

• Grows management’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counselling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results 
• Answerable for fixing prices and signing business deals 
• Accountable for providing direction for the business 
• Creates, communicates, and implements the organisation’s vision, mission, and overall direction – i.e., leading the development and implementation of the overall organisation’s strategy. 
• Responsible for signing checks and documents on behalf of the company 
• Evaluates the success of the organisation 

Black News UK Office Administrator 

• Responsible for overseeing the smooth running of HR and administrative tasks for the programme. 
• Regularly hold meetings with key stakeholders to review the effectiveness of the organisations’ Policies, Procedures and Processes 
• Maintains office supplies by checking stocks; placing and expediting orders; evaluating new products. 
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs. 
• Defines job positions for recruitment and managing interviewing process 
• Carries out staff induction for new team members 
• Responsible for training, evaluation, and assessment of employees

• Responsible for preparing financial reports, budgets, and financial statements for the organisation 
• Provides managements with financial analyses, development budgets, and accounting reports Responsible for financial forecasting and risks analysis. 
• Performs cash management, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting for one or more properties. 
• Responsible for developing and managing financial systems and policies 
• In authority of administering payrolls Ensures compliance with taxation legislation Handles all financial transactions. 
• Serves as internal auditor. 

Client Service Executive 

• Welcomes clients and visitors by greeting them online, in person or on the telephone, answering or directing inquiries. 
• Ensures that all contacts with clients (e-mail, walk-In centre, SMS, or phone) provides our service users and clients with a personalised customer service experience of the highest level 
• Through interaction with clients on the phone, uses every opportunity to build client’s interest in the company’s services 
• Manages administrative duties assigned by the principal partners in an effective and timely manner 
• Consistently stays abreast of any new information on the organisations’ products, promotional campaigns, research etc. to ensure accurate and helpful information is supplied to clients when they make enquiries 
• Receives parcels/documents for Black News UK®.  

6. SWOT Analysis 

In order to continue to maintain our overhead and continue to make profit for the business, we must position the business to scale – up our income on a regular basis. 

In view of that, we will engage the services of a professional in the area of business consulting and structuring to assist our organization in building a well – structured support business that can favourably compete in the highly competitive and unjust Media, Communications and PR industry. Here is a summary from the result of the SWOT analysis; 

Strength: 

Our strength as an organisation is tied to our years of experience, our partners, and supporters. We have a team that are considered experts in the industry, a team with excellent qualifications and experience in media, health and education. 

Aside from the synergy that exists in our carefully selected team members and our strong off and online presence, Our Charity is well positioned with the right demography, and we know we will attract loads of clients from the first day we open our doors for business. 

Weakness: 

The fact that we are starting our support programme from the scratch might be one of the weaknesses that we will have to confront. This is because it is easier for a franchise support program to leverage on an already built momentum from their parent company. 

Opportunities: 

Without a doubt, the opportunities in the Social Justice Media industry is massive considering the number of individuals, start-ups and corporate organisations that want to achieve their life and community development goals. As a standard culture and heritage support programme business, we are ready to take advantage of any opportunity that comes our way. 

Threat: 

A few of the threats that we are likely going to face as a network operating in the United Kingdom are unfavourable government policies that might affect our business, the arrival of a competitor within our location of operation and global economic downturn which usually affects spending/purchasing power especially as relates to the kind of services we offer.

Market Trends 

One thing is certain, the trend in the support service industry is such that if you want to be ahead of your competitors, you should be able to acquire as much certifications as possible and you should be able to have loads of testimonies from your clients. The truth is that if your clients experienced huge difference in their life, career, and business as a result of hiring your services, then they will be compelled to help promote our organisation and model. 

New enterprises and establishments are leading to higher employment and industry profit margins are expected to increase. External factors such as Corporate profit and Per capita disposable income in Charity, Media, Sports, Heritage, health, and education industry will definitely impact the overall performance in this industry. 

Another notable trend in disability justice is the influence of technology; the advent of technology is responsible for the increase in income generated by industry operators. With technology, it is now easier for service providers to engage clients that are thousands of kilometres away from them.
