African Supply Chain Confederation conference enlists more speakers. Avani Victoria falls hosts event in Zambia

The African Supply Chain Confederation has secured more speakers for its 2026 ASCON Conference, with additional sessions to focus on trade, procurement, business, and digital transformation.

Following these new developments, the African Supply Chain Confederation has also moved the conference to the Avani Victoria Falls Resort in Livingstone, Zambia.

The conference takes place from 23 to 25 September 2026 under the theme, Africa Rising: Converting Strength into Global Supply Chain Impact.

Avani Victoria Falls Resort, the new event venue is located in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park in Livingstone, Zambia, and is just a five-minute walk from the Victoria Falls – the smoke that thunders.

Guests receive free, unlimited VIP access to the Zambian side of Victoria Falls during their stay at the hotel, where Zebras grazing the lawn and giraffes can frequently be spotted wandering through the resort grounds.

The ASCON Secretary General, John Karani, explained that their speaker lineup is truly representative of the current environment for supply chain professionals, which is increasingly being shaped by the need for the supply chain to be driven by efficiency, professionalism, and putting Africa first.

“Our inaugural conference showcases best practices, emerging trends, and strategic insights supporting the continent’s rise within global supply chains”.

Newly announced speakers include:

•         Wamkele Keabetswe Mene, Secretary-General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat

•         Deon Basson, CEO of reCInate and Chairman of Spatialedge

•         Shaun Scott, Co-Founder of WillPower@WiL and Founder of Public Procurement Innovation Research (PPIR)

•         Thandy Pino, Chairperson of the Lesotho Public Procurement Authority and CEO of Ntakha Consulting

•         Richard Migambi, CEO of eVolve Limited and digital reforms implementation expert.

They join Professor Douglas Boateng, Africa’s first Professor Extraordinaire in Supply and Value Chain Management, ASCON President Ronald Mlalazi, Karani, and ASCON Advisory Board Chairperson Dr Simon Annan.

Delegates attending the 2026 ASCON conference can also book accommodation at the Avani Victoria Falls Resort through the African Commerce Convergence Summit (ACCS) platform.

ACCS is a collaborative partnership between ASCON, the African Marketing Confederation (AMC), and Technology Information Confederation Africa (TICON Africa) that connects professionals and leaders from the supply chain, marketing, and ICT sectors.

Hosted in partnership with the Zambia Institute of Procurement and Supply (ZIPS), the conference will bring together supply chain leaders, policymakers, executives, and professionals from across Africa.
