A recent press release from QCWBA said that Ms. George was installed during the Association’s Annual Installation Dinner held on June 23, 2026, before members of the bench and bar, elected officials, community leaders, family, and friends.
George, a respected member of the Queens legal community, has dedicated her career to public service and the advancement of justice. Throughout her years of service within the New York State Unified Court System and the legal profession, she has remained committed to mentorship, diversity, professional excellence, and expanding opportunities for women in the law.
On her appointment to the esteemed position, George expressed her gratitude.
“It is with profound gratitude, and humility, that I assume the office of the 95th President of the Queens County Women’s Bar Association. As we celebrate this milestone, I pause to reflect upon the many winding paths that have been drawn between us, all converging at this singular moment of our Association’s history.”
Founded in 1930, the Queens County Women’s Bar Association is one of the oldest women’s bar associations in New York State. The organization promotes the fair administration of justice, advances the status of women in the legal profession, supports professional development, and serves the broader Queens community through educational and public service initiatives.
“It is an extraordinary honor to serve as President of the Queens County Women’s Bar Association,” said George. “I look forward to building upon the Association’s proud legacy while fostering meaningful connections among our members, supporting the next generation of attorneys, and continuing our commitment to service within the legal profession and the communities we serve.”
During her term, George plans to focus on membership growth, mentorship, leadership development, community engagement and strengthening relationships between the bench, bar and the diverse communities of Queens.
