Blitzboks to play-off for third and fourth place in Bordeaux Sevens
Hosts and reigning Olympic Games champions, France, beat the Blitzboks 21-12 in the semifinals.
South Africa who have probably already started celebrating their second successive Sevens World Championship title in Bordeaux, will play-off for third and fourth place in the last tournament of the season.
Hosts and reigning Olympic Games champions, France, beat the Blitzboks 21-12 in the semifinals. It was an uncharacteristic performance from the Series and world champions, with inaccurate passes and turn-overs spoiling, what should’ve been their party.
The Blitzboks were crowned world champions on Saturday after main rivals Argentina and Australia were knocked out early in Bordeaux and they secured a spot in the last four.
