Vincent Byamukama ascended to the top of the MTN Pro-Tee leaderboard heading into Friday’s final round at Entebbe Golf Club.
Byamukama, who has been the most consistent through 54 holes, played a 2-under 69 on Round 3 and is now 5-under overall.
While he scratched on the front nine, registering a double bogey on the opening hole coupled with bogeys on par-4 hole 3 and par-3 hole 6, Byamukama was flawless on the back nine, firing five birdies and playing even on the rest of the holes.

Abraham Ainamani, who played the day’s best round with a 3-under 68, ascended to second place on the leaderboard and is two shots behind Byamukama.
Ainamani had an eagle on par-5 hole 15 and birdied holes 1, 7 and 18.




Meanwhile, day two leader, David Kamulindwa, dropped to third place on the leaderboard with three shots behind after playing 2-over 73 in Round Three.

Bulhan Matovu, who has been playing better with each round, is fourth overall. Matovu started with 74, followed by 70, and returned 68 on Day 3 to come within four strokes of the leader.
Rodell Gaita completes the top five while Grace Kasango and Andrew Ssekibejja are tied for 6th place.
Day one leader, Marvin Kibirige, couldn’t continue due to injury. Kibirige dropped out at Hole 13.

Day 4 Draw
The first leg of the Pro-Tee concludes on Friday as the pros battle for a lion’s share of the Shs. 15,000,000 with tee-off scheduled for midday to 1:00 p.m.
