Calvary and Lugazi played out a goalless draw on matchday 23 of the Uganda Premier League. The game played at the Midigo Primary School Playground ended with none of the teams finding the back of the net.
The Yumbe based side came into this game on the back of securing their first win of the season against Buhimba United Saints over the weekend and hoped to build on to that in their slim chances of beating the drop.
However, it was the visitors Lugazi who began the better side and had the first attempt of the game in the fifth minute but goalkeeper Hadji Shukuru who pulled off a fantastic save to deny them.
Lugazi had another chance a minute before the half hour mark when John Rogers failed to clear his lines but the strike from the visitors ricocheted off the crossbar.
In the second half, Lawrence Olaboro too saw his attempt to put the hosts in the lead denied by the upright.
The result leaves Calvary bottom of the table on nine points while Lugazi remain 12th with 20 points.
