Cambodia is throwing out all African Nationals from the Kingdom
Citizens from African countries who are currently living in Cambodia have been ordered to vacate from the South-East Asian Kingdom or else they will be arrested and persecuted.

According to an official notice from the General department of Immigration in the Kingdom of Cambodia with reference Number 1662/GDI, all African nationals should be out of the country latest by the 31st of May 2026 or face the consequences.
The Official Notice reads: FOR ALL AFRICAN NATIONALS IN THE KINGDOM OF CAMBODIA, that is People from GHANA, KENYA, CAMEROON, UGANDA AND OTHERS, are required to pack up and return to their countries of origin (or wherever), but must vacate Cambodia immediately.
“The Royal Government of Cambodia, through the General Department of Immigration, Ministry of Interior, wishes to inform all African nationals including citizens of Ghana, Kenya, Cameroon, Uganda and others that the waiver granted to you will officially end on 31st of May 2026!”
First and foremost, all foreign nationals whose fines have been cleared must leave Cambodia on or before 31st of May 2026.
Secondly, any foreign national who enters, remains or is found in Cambodia from 1st of June 2026 will be arrested at the airport or at any location and shall be subjected to serve a jail term of 2 (two) years.
Thirdly, those arrested will also be required to pay a penalty of US$8,000 (Eight Thousand US Dollars) before being allowed to leave Cambodia.
Fourth: The Cambodia Police will start arresting any foreigner at any hideout within the Kingdom from the 1st of June 2026, for overstay and will hand the suspects over to the immigration authorities for legal action.
“All concerned are hereby informed to strictly comply with this notice. The Royal Government of Cambodia will not tolerate any violation of our immigration laws.” Conclude the statement with a stern voice.
“Your cooperation is highly appreciated,” reads the footnote signed by Lieutenant General Som Sopheak, the Director General of the Cambodian Department of Immigration and copied to the Ministry of interior.
Cambodia has however, not explained why it was throwing out Africans from the Kingdom.
