CAPS United maintained their spot at the top of the Premier Soccer League table after edging Triangle United 1-0 away at Gibbo Stadium in a midweek fixture.
The Green Machine remain the only side yet to drop a point this season, having won all of their opening three matches.
Makepekepe are setting the early pace with nine points, two ahead of second-placed Ngezi Platinum Stars.
CAPS United’s decisive moment against Triangle came late in the match, with Chawanangwa Kaonga scoring in the 83rd minute to register his first Premier Soccer League goal.
Elsewhere, in Kwekwe, Hardrock FC secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Chicken Inn FC to claim their first home win of the season.
The match’s only goal came from Wilfred Madzungu, last season’s Central Region Soccer League top scorer, who marked his top-flight debut season with his first Premier Soccer League goal.
The win lifted Hardrock to third position on the log with seven points, just two behind leaders CAPS United.
At Barbourfields Stadium, Highlanders FC were held to a goalless draw by MWOS FC.
Meanwhile, TelOne FC suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Simba Bhora at Ascot Stadium in Gweru.
