Cybastion and Cisco Expand Partnership to Build Sovereign Digital Infrastructure in Morocco

Cybastion  has announced a strategic expansion of its partnership efforts aimed at accelerating Africa’s digital transformation, following high-level discussions in Rabat focused on building sovereign digital infrastructure and strengthening regional digital capacity.

The engagement involved senior leadership from Cybastion, including Dr. Thierry Wandji Ketchiozo (President and CEO), Andre Biyong (Chief Strategy Officer), and Scott Blacklin (Senior Vice President for Government Affairs). They met with Francine Katsoudas, Executive Vice President and Chief People, Policy & Purpose Officer at Cisco,  alongside senior regional leaders from Morocco and across the region.

The discussions, held in Rabat, focused on advancing a shared vision for Africa’s digital future, particularly as the continent prepares for the next phase of AI-driven transformation. A key emphasis was placed on expanding into Morocco to develop sovereign digital infrastructure powered by 100% renewable energy.

According to the companies, the collaboration is designed to strengthen Africa’s digital ecosystem by enabling governments to access more resilient infrastructure, enhanced cybersecurity capabilities, and world-class digital solutions that support long-term economic competitiveness.

The partnership also highlights a commitment to developing a future-ready digital workforce, with both organizations expressing intent to deepen cooperation in support of inclusive and sustainable digital growth across the region.
