Dutch team first to finish in Atlantic Rally for Cruisers

NEXTGEN by JAJO (pronounced Yayo) crossed the finish line in Saint Lucia to secure first place among 148 vessels in the 2025 Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC).

The 12-member Dutch crew departed Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on November 23 and completed the 2,700-nautical-mile transatlantic passage in just 10 days, 48 minutes, and 53 seconds.

The team was officially welcomed at IGY Rodney Bay Marina by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism  Donalyn Vittet, CEO of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority Louis Lewis and other officials.

The second vessel is scheduled to arrive by Friday. 

The race is a highlight of activities marking the 40th anniversary of the ARC.
