Rape-accused medical doctor Dennis Noa yesterday told the Ondangwa Magistrate’s Court he wanted the man who accused him of rape to leave his residence after spending two nights there.
Noa, who is applying for bail, said he became frustrated with the complainant (26) because he had allegedly eaten his food, including his “expensive salami”.
“I wanted him to go because he finished my expensive salami, and finished my food and energy drinks. He wiped my fridge,” Noa said.
He told the court the complainant had visited him at his residence at Onandjokwe Intermediate Hospital on 27 May and stayed until 29 May.
Noa further claimed he had left the complainant in his room and that there was a time he found him cooking a “taste” rice and “horrible” soup.
He denied that their sexual encounters during the two-day stay were non-consensual.
“He was not forced or coerced,” he said.
Noa said he first met the complainant on 8 May, after which they exchanged telephone numbers.
“On the phone he is quite talkative, but in person he is a bit shy,” Noa said.
Noa is accused of raping the man on 18 June.
He said he had sex with the complainant on 17 May after the two had a few drinks and fried chicken.
“He had about two beers and I had vodka,” he said.
Noa said he gave the complainant anxiety medication.
He said the complainant later started vomiting.
Noa also said there was an argument between the two of them after the complainant allegedly asked him to invest in a taxi business which Noa said he had refused to do.
“He said if I don’t make money available he would open a case of rape against me and that he would sue the government,” Noa said.
He said he got fed up and insulted the victim including questioning his ability to father two children “when he has a small manhood”.
“I was throwing his clothes out of my house,” Noa said.
Noa claims the alleged victim punched his room’s window and injured his wrist and ended up bleeding profusely.
He claims the man accused him of rape after he (Noa) refused to provide N$35 000 to buy a taxi worth about N$70 000.
Noa was arrested in connection with the alleged rape at his flat at the public hospital’s premises in July.
He has previously been accused of raping a patient (18) at Katutura Intermediate Hospital in Windhoek, but was acquitted in that matter.
His bail application continues today.
