Loatinover Pounds Extends “Ground 2 Glory” Chart Dominance With “5 Roses.” Loatinover Pounds continues to build momentum around his sophomore album Ground 2 Glory, with the Pretoria rapper adding another significant chart achievement to the project’s growing run.
Taking to X, the Pretoria-based rapper revealed that “5 Roses” had climbed to No. 1 on the Apple Music Hip-Hop/Rap Songs chart. His other Ground 2 Glory track, “My Life”, follows closely at No. 2, giving the rapper the top two positions on the chart.
“We got a new No. 1 Hip Hop / Rap Song!” Loatinover Pounds wrote alongside a screenshot of the chart, which also showed Ground 2 Glory holding the No. 1 position on the Top Albums chart.
Released on 25 September 2026 through Punyete Premier League / MODAR, Ground 2 Glory has continued to gather momentum since its release. The project crossed one million streams across Spotify, YouTube and Apple Music within its first week and secured No. 1 album positions across South Africa, Botswana and Eswatini.
The album has already produced a strong chart run, with “My Life” and “Hood Gospels”, featuring A-Reece, previously reaching the top of the Hip-Hop/Rap Songs chart. “5 Roses” now joins them as another chart-topping record from the project.
On “5 Roses”, Pounds explores a smoother and more melodic side of his artistry, delivering a reflective love song that adds another dimension to the sound of Ground 2 Glory.
The latest achievement adds to a run that has seen Pounds continue to build on the foundation established by tracks such as “Sosh Plata”. Known for his sharp lyricism and Pretoria-rooted storytelling, the rapper uses Ground 2 Glory to move between introspective records, collaborations and melodic moments without losing the identity that has shaped his rise.
With “5 Roses” now at the summit and Ground 2 Glory continuing to lead the album chart, Pounds’ latest project is maintaining its momentum well beyond its release week.
