By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A San Pedro resident has asked police to take court action after he was allegedly attacked by three men late at night.
The 44-year-old construction worker told investigators he was walking home around 11:30pm when the confrontation occurred near Milo Apartment.
He alleges that one man struck him in the face with a pint bottle before the other two joined the assault.
According to his report, two of the men held him while he was punched in the face. He was later thrown to the ground and struck several more times around the head and mouth.
The complainant said he attempted to fight back but was unable to overcome all three men.
After the attack, the men reportedly boarded a golf cart and drove away.
The victim later sought medical attention, and a doctor certified his injuries as harm.
Police have recorded his statement and are investigating.
