Mauritania offers Condolences to the State of Qatar over the victims of the Ras Laffan incident

Mauritania has expressed its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the sisterly State of Qatar following the tragic incident that occurred in the Ras Lafan industrial zone, which resulted in a number of fatalities and injuries.

This was stated in a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad on Tuesday evening, a copy of which was received by the Mauritanian News Agency. The text of the statement is as follows:

“It is with deep sadness and grief that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad has received news of the tragic incident that occurred in the Ras Laffan Industrial Area in the sisterly State of Qatar, and the resulting casualties and injuries.

On this painful occasion, the Mauritanian Government extends to the sister State of Qatar – its leadership, government and people – and to the families of the victims, its sincerest condolences and sympathies, praying to Almighty God to envelop the deceased in His boundless mercy, grant them a place in His vast Paradise, bestow a speedy recovery upon the injured, and protect the State of Qatar and its people from all harm and misfortune.”
