Spice has unleashed her new single “Volcano,” released through Easy Star Records and serving as the lead offering from her highly anticipated forthcoming album. Co-produced by GRAMMY-winning producer Antaeus and Spice herself, “Volcano” marries the raw power of classic dancehall with a polished, globally minded sound.
The track’s standout lyric, “My body hot like volcano,” captures the unapologetic confidence that has been the hallmark of Spice’s career for more than two decades. Equal parts summer anthem and personal declaration, the single channels themes of beauty, resilience, and knowing one’s worth.
“‘Volcano’ is about passion, confidence, and stepping fully into your power,” Spice said in a statement. “I wanted the music and the visual to feel explosive, fearless, and authentic to the energy that’s been inside me this entire era.”
The release comes at a remarkable moment in Spice’s already record-studded career. Currently recognized as the second-highest streaming Jamaican female artist in the world, she earned the title of “Performer of the Year” across genres following a landmark 2025 that included viral reunions with Vybz Kartel and a historic run through the UK festival circuit. Her previous project “Mirror 25” celebrated 25 years in dancehall and further cemented her global standing.
The numbers behind her legacy speak for themselves. Her smash hit “Go Down Deh” has crossed 400 million streams worldwide, and she recently became the first Jamaican female artist with a lead single to surpass 300 million streams on Spotify.
She also holds the record for the highest-streaming dancehall album of the past five years, earned Gold certification in the United States as the first Jamaican female artist to do so in over 30 years, and has charted multiple projects on both Billboard and UK charts independently through her own imprint, Spice Official Entertainment. A Grammy nomination and a starring role on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” round out a career that continues to rewrite the rulebook.
