The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has held discussions with Infracorp on strengthening collaboration to advance Nigeria’s sovereign cloud agenda and accelerate the development of the country’s digital infrastructure.
NITDA Director-General Kashifu Inuwa received Infracorp CEO Dr. Lazarus Angbazo for the engagement, which focused on ways to deepen cooperation between the public and private sectors in building Nigeria’s sovereign cloud ecosystem.
The discussions centred on operationalising the Investment Strategy, with particular attention to unlocking local funding, increasing private-sector participation and attracting foreign investment into sovereign cloud and digital infrastructure projects.
Both organisations reaffirmed their commitment to developing strategic partnerships that can support a secure, resilient and investment-ready sovereign cloud ecosystem.
The collaboration is also expected to promote greater local participation, mobilise investment and accelerate the sustainable development of Nigeria’s digital infrastructure.
