NRDF Breaks Silence on Delayed International Certificates as Students Await Global Accreditation

The National Research and Development Foundation (NRDF) has responded to growing concerns over delays in the issuance of internationally recognized certificates, assuring students that the setback is beyond its control and that efforts are underway to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the NRDF confirmed that while students successfully completed all academic and technical requirements for programmes conducted between June 2025 and May 2026, the final stage of certification has been delayed due to unforeseen issues affecting overseas partners responsible for affixing international seals.

According to the Foundation, the delays stem from operational, administrative, and supply chain challenges being experienced by its international certification partners in their respective countries.

The NRDF acknowledged the frustration many students are experiencing, particularly those seeking employment or pursuing further studies, and emphasized that it is treating the matter as a top priority.

The Foundation said it is working closely with the Ministry of Education and its international partners to expedite the validation process and ensure every eligible student receives their internationally recognized certification.

To prevent students from being disadvantaged while the process is completed, the NRDF has begun issuing locally recognized certificates. These documents confirm that recipients have successfully met all programme requirements and can be presented to employers and academic institutions as official proof of attainment.

Officials also pledged to provide regular updates to affected students through the Foundation’s official communication channels as new information becomes available.

Reaffirming its commitment to education and workforce development, the NRDF said it remains dedicated to maintaining the integrity of its programmes while ensuring students ultimately receive the international recognition they have earned.

The Foundation thanked students and the public for their patience and understanding as it continues working to resolve the delays. Students requiring additional information are encouraged to contact the NRDF directly.
