Oscar Cadena’s relationship with music began long before the studio. Raised in a deeply musical environment and inspired by his father, a musician, Cadena sat behind a drum kit at just eight years old. That early connection to rhythm eventually developed into a broader curiosity about songwriting, recording, and production.

What began as an exploration of creating his own music became a career defined by versatility. Cadena has developed the ability to move naturally between Pop, Rock, Alternative, and Regional Mexican, approaching each genre with the same attention to emotion, identity, and storytelling. On the Regional Mexican side, his collaborations include artists such as Majo Aguilar, Armenta, Tito Double P, Jasiel Nuñez, and Yahritza y Su Esencia, while his work also extends into pop with artists such as Drake Bell and into alternative territory with artists including Camila.

Latin music has always carried stories, from family and love to heartbreak, identity, ambition, and cultural pride. Cadena’s work reflects that tradition while embracing the possibilities of modern production. His approach places the artist’s story at the center of the creative process. Cadena’s versatility has also translated into recognition from the Latin Recording Academy, earning him four Latin Grammy Award nominations throughout his career. Among his standout projects is Sofi Saar’s Terca, which Cadena developed from the ground up, helping shape the project from its initial concept through completion.

He also produced key tracks for Majo Aguilar’s Mariachi y Tequila Deluxe, an acclaimed project that received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album. His credits further include serving as recording engineer on Tito Double P’s Incómodo, another Latin Grammy-nominated album.

The boutique music company reflects his larger vision of developing artists and creating sustainable creative projects. His work with RIA is one example of that 360-degree approach. Cadena serves as executive producer and co-writer across her music while also championing the project from a label perspective.

WHAT COMES NEXT

The next chapter of Cadena’s career continues to expand his role as a creative force. Among his upcoming projects is the debut full-length album for RIA, further developing the vision he has helped shape from the beginning. He is also set to contribute production work to Pepe Aguilar’s upcoming album, a project featuring collaborations with major names including Carin León and Junior H.
