The Roads Authority (RA) has announced that applications for the registration of imported motor vehicles from Hong Kong will now be accepted and processed at all Natis offices across the country with immediate effect.
This is after it had temporarily delayed applications following fraudulent activities involving the misrepresentation of vehicle ages imported from Hong Kong.
In a statement issued on Friday, RA says individuals and vehicle importers must ensure that their applications fully comply with the requirements outlined in regulation 16 of the Road Traffic and Transport Regulations.
According to the authority, every application for the registration of a motor vehicle imported from Hong Kong must include the necessary supporting documents.
The regulatory authority says applicants must meet all statutory requirements governing the registration and licensing of imported motor vehicles before their applications can be approved.
The public is encouraged to ensure all required documents are completed and accurate before submission to avoid delays in processing.
RA expresses gratitude to the public for its patience and understanding during the registration process.
