Tenth of Ramadan for Pharmaceutical Industries and Diagnostic Reagents (Rameda), one of Egypt’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers, has announced the appointment of Sherif Ahmed El Akhdar as non-executive Chairman of its Board of Directors, representing LVP Pharma.
LVP Pharma, the investment vehicle of LimeVest, an Egypt- and Saudi-focused healthcare platform, holds an approximately 23.15% stake in Rameda. The appointment follows the completion of LVP Pharma’s strategic investment in the company.
Rameda also announced the addition of Dalia El Shal and Ahmed Abou Hendia to its Board as non-executive members representing LVP Pharma. The appointments were approved during a Board meeting held on 1 June 2026.
Following the changes, Rameda’s Board now comprises 13 members, bringing together representatives of the company’s principal shareholders and independent directors. The company said the structure reflects its commitment to strong corporate governance and balanced board representation.
“I am honoured to take on the role of Chairman of Rameda at a pivotal point in its journey,” said El Akhdar. “Rameda is exactly the kind of platform we believe in — a resilient, well-run pharmaceutical business with a trusted name and significant room to grow. Together with the Board and management team, I look forward to building on that foundation to accelerate growth, deepen institutionalisation, support regional expansion initiatives, and create lasting value for our shareholders and the patients we serve.”
El Akhdar is the Founder and Chairman of LimeVest, which he established in 2017. He chairs the firm’s Investment Committee and leads its strategy, fundraising, and deal origination. He previously served as a Partner at BPE Partners, formerly Beltone Private Equity, where he led investments in companies including Madinet Nasr Housing and Development, Total Egypt, PGESCo, and Pickalbatros.
Earlier in his career, El Akhdar worked at American Capital Strategies and began his career as a management consultant with Abt Associates. He currently serves on the boards of the Housing and Development Bank, Alexandria New Medical Center, Egyptian Resorts Company, and several healthcare and investment companies.
The Board and incoming Chairman extended their appreciation to outgoing Chairman Ayman Abbas for his contributions and leadership during his tenure. Abbas will continue to serve on Rameda’s Board as a non-executive member, ensuring continuity as the company enters its next phase of growth.
Dalia El Shal, who joins the Board as a non-executive member, is Vice Chairman and Group CFO of LimeVest Partners Healthcare. She oversees financial strategy, portfolio operations, budgeting, treasury, and investment due diligence across the group. She also serves on the boards of several healthcare and pharmaceutical companies within LimeVest’s portfolio.
Ahmed Abou Hendia, also appointed as a non-executive Board member, is Founder and Managing Partner of Abou-Hendia Law Firm. He brings extensive legal and board experience across several Egyptian listed companies, including Elsewedy Electric, the Housing and Development Bank, Egyptian Resorts Company, Arabian Cement, and Cairo Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industries.
