By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizean artist and politician Shyne Barrow has marked 26 years since the release of his classic debut album, Shyne.
The celebration took place at the Brooklyn Public Library in New York City, where supporters and members of the Belizean American community gathered to honour the milestone.
Barrow shared photos from the event on September 26, exactly 26 years after the album dropped in 2000.
“Such a great way to celebrate the 26th Anniversary of the classic Shyne Album,” he wrote, thanking New York City and highlighting the many Belizean Americans who attended during Independence celebrations.
The album launched Shyne as an international recording artist. It went platinum and showcased his signature baritone and gritty lyrics.
