A seasonal cold front has brought more than just lower temperatures, with snow reshaping parts of the South African landscape.
South Africa (11 May 2026) – As winter settles in across South Africa, some regions are waking up to snow-covered landscapes.
From mountain peaks dusted in white to surprise flurries in the Northern Cape, snowfall has been turning everyday road trips into full-on postcard moments. What makes it even better is how unexpected it all feels. One minute you’re in familiar landscapes, the next it looks like you’ve landed somewhere in Europe.
