On the twenty-ninth anniversary of the opening of Mogadishu University, and on the occasion of the graduation of its twenty-sixth cohort, I am filled with joy and pride as I see the seed we planted under extremely difficult circumstances grow, by the grace of Allah, into a distinguished academic institution and a blessed tree whose branches have spread, whose fruits have flourished, and whose contributions have benefited tens of thousands of Somali men and women.
