Visa, a global leader in digital payments, announced that merchants and payment service providers in Saudi Arabia can now process e-commerce transactions locally and compliantly using the Visa Acceptance Platform, following its certification for the Saudi Central Bank’s (SAMA) New E-commerce Payments Interface.
With the deployment of the Visa Acceptance Platform on local cloud infrastructure last year, the capability now enables locally processed and compliant e-commerce payments while helping deliver seamless consumer payment experiences.
The Visa Acceptance Platform brings together payment processing, fraud management, tokenization, and authentication in one solution hosted locally. It helps merchants and payment service providers simplify integration and support key e-commerce use cases, including feature-rich mada acceptance, card-on-file functionality, digital wallets and recurring payments support.
“As digital commerce continues to scale in Saudi Arabia, payment capabilities must evolve to support local market requirements while delivering seamless experiences for consumers. Enabling local e-commerce processing through the New E-commerce Payments Interface on the Visa Acceptance Platform helps simplify payment acceptance and enables seamless e-commerce experiences for consumers.”
