Loud sounds inside the White House correspondents’ dinner disrupt the event with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance being ushered out by the Secret Service.
Shooter shot in Washington Hilton Hotel lobby where White House correspondents’ dinner was being held.

Trump has been led out safely. He is fine.
The White House correspondents’ dinner will resume soon.
When the loud sound was heard, Secret Service members rushed into the ballroom and rushed out all the VVIPs while other attendees huddled under the tables. As phone signals were very weak in the area, everyone seemed baffled as to what precisely had occurred.
Reports that Trump wants to come back — but whether the Secret Service will allow that remains to be seen at this point in time.
It appears stunning that the shooter apparently went through metal detectors with a weapon.
It now appears that the event will not resume.
