Yeezy Footwear Officially Hits JD Sports On August 13: Here’s A Full Store List

Whether it was a scheduling issue or technical difficulties, the Yeezy era at JD Sports is no longer a mystery. According to the store’s calendar, the release is officially set for August 13 in-store and online.

The Yeezy Slides, or YS-01, will make their major sneaker distribution debut in seven colors. In black, YS011-001, chocolate YS017-900, white YS016-100, blue YS015-400, grey YS014-020, brown YS013-200 and tan YS012-920.

Aside from the slides, other silhouettes are coming to JD’s shelves, like the YEEZY BL-01 sneakers, which have retro running paneling and a rigid outsole, and retail for $108.

The flat-footed rubberized YEEZY AQ-01 will be priced at $66. And for the ladies, the $66 YEEZY HL-02 heel will be available. 

Kanye West has had a rocky journey in fashion over the past few years after his antisemitic remarks. adidas and Gap cut ties with him and sold leftover goods through second parties and deeply discounted sales.

He’s tried to make a return to the mainstream —both musically and fashion-wise— and it began with a full-page ad apology in the Wall Street Journal, partially blaming his behavior on undiagnosed brain injury stemming from his 2002 car crash.

Still, the apology hasn’t been accepted in many circles. When he was announced to headline the UK’s Wireless Festival, he was met with a ban from the country.

But he appears to have snuck his way back into the mainstream through his undeniable shoe designs.

With Ye’s new distributor comes a huge network of brick-and-mortar stores where his footwear will be available.
