By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police intelligence has led officers to the largest suspected crack cocaine find in recent weeks, with more than 30 grams recovered from a hiding spot between a small palm tree at an abandoned location in the DFC area of San Pedro Town, and no one around to claim it.

According to the Belize Police Department, on Monday, August 10, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., personnel of the GI3 unit, acting on intelligence, conducted a search for drugs and ammunition at an abandoned DFC area location.

During the search, an officer’s attention was drawn to a small clear transparent bag concealed between a small palm tree. The bag was retrieved and found to contain a white buffy substance suspected to be crack cocaine.

No person was seen in the immediate area, and the find was transported to the station for processing.

At the station, the suspected crack cocaine was weighed, amounting to 30.49 grams. It was placed inside a manila envelope, properly labelled, sealed, and handed over as found property.

No arrests have been made, and the matter remains under police attention.
