Apple TV is preparing to take viewers underground one last time. Following the riveting season three finale, the streamer announced that its acclaimed dystopian drama Silo will return for its fourth and final season on July 9, 2027. Apple TV also unveiled a sneak peek at the series’ final chapter, teasing what promises to be an intense conclusion to the mystery-filled saga.
Created by Emmy Award winner Graham Yost and based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy, Silo stars Rebecca Ferguson, who also serves as an executive producer.
Season three expanded the show’s world by revealing an origin story set centuries earlier while continuing the present-day struggle of the 10,000 people living underground under mysterious circumstances. After surviving her forced “cleaning,” Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) returned to the silo without her memories. As the community attempted to recover from rebellion, its residents found themselves confronting another dangerous threat.
Meanwhile, the season’s “Before Times” storyline followed journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) as they uncovered a conspiracy with catastrophic and irreversible consequences. Their investigation offered viewers long-awaited insight into how the silos came to exist and the events that reshaped civilization.
With the truth finally beginning to surface, season four will have the enormous task of connecting the past and present while answering the mysteries that have fueled the series from the beginning. Juliette’s fight for survival may be far from over, but the final season could determine whether the people of the silo remain trapped underground or finally discover what is waiting for them beyond its walls.
Silo is produced by Apple Studios. Yost, Michael Dinner, Nina Jack, Joanna Thapa, Ferguson, Morten Tyldum, Howey, Amber Templemore, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon and AMC Studios serve as executive producers.
All three seasons of Silo are now streaming globally on Apple TV. The fourth and final season premieres July 9, 2027.
