Blanchar Mulamba has become the latest footballer from Uganda to join the Gardner Webb University in the United States of America for a sports scholarship.
The intelligent offensive midfielder joins Gardner Webb University for a five year course in Sports and Kinesiology.
“This is a big honour to join Gardner Webb University for the sports and education scholarship. I will give my best on both fronts” Mulamba who also featured in the Buganda Masaza Cup with Gomba Lions vowed.
Mulamba has already embarked on training with his collegemates in preparation for grueling times ahead.
Last season, he featured at Express Football Club in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The passing and dribbling ace had previously played at Wakiso Giants Football Club.
His transfer to the USA will further help the development path as a footballer and career wise.
For starters, Gardner Webb University is located near Charlotte, Asheville NC and Greenville SC in North Carolina.
It is a top private, liberal Arts University founded in 1905, initially as Boiling Springs High School.
