DDG & PlaqueBoyMax Face Off For Best Music Streamer At 2026 Streamer Awards

DDG and PlaqueBoyMax landed nominations for Best Music Streamer at the 2026 Streamer Awards. The ballot put two creators who make records in front of their audiences in the same race.

Bishu and AriAtHome rounded out the four-person field on the official ballot. Voting opened October 16, with the show set for November 12.

Organizers described the music award as a prize for a “Streamer who creates the best music content, showcasing talents such as singing, playing instruments, DJing, producing, composing, or more.”

For DDG, the nomination followed another round of making an album live. He released the 15-track “HIT-A-THON” last month after a seven-day, around-the-clock stream in Atlanta. Viewers watched the recording process as guests came through to work on songs.

The finished project included Lil Yachty, 42 Dugg and Real Boston Richey, carrying those on-camera sessions into an album released through Epic Records.

His 2025 “Hit-A-Thon” gave viewers a say in the songs that made the record. They also had input on the beats and offered feedback on his lyrics. Shaboozey, Kevin Gates and Ty Dolla $ign were among the artists who joined him.

In a 2025 Billboard interview, DDG said the format let fans follow his studio work and see his first meetings with guest artists. He said that access helped viewers feel involved.

PlaqueBoyMax’s viewers also had a role in the songs he made with guest artists. His chat helped choose names for new tracks, a part of his process that Boardroom explored in a June profile and interview. The audience could follow a song through a live session as the work took shape in his studio.

His work also reached the Grammys. “Victory Lap,” his collaboration with Fred again.. and Skepta, earned a Best Dance/Electronic Recording nomination at this year’s ceremony. The Recording Academy listed PlaqueBoyMax among the song’s producers as well as its artists.

The Streamer Awards let creators put themselves up for an award for the first time this year. QTCinderella said fans’ top picks would fill each race, with a panel adding one more name.

Fans will account for 70% of the final result, while the panel will supply the other 30%. Voting closes October 31.
