The Cape Town-based rugby side visited the Children’s Hospital Trust, bringing gifts, toys and books to brighten the day of young patients.
Cape Town, South Africa (29 May 2026) – The Stormers rugby team brought smiles to young patients during a special visit to the Children’s Hospital Trust, turning an ordinary day at the hospital into something truly memorable.
Players from the Cape Town-based rugby side surprised children with a heartwarming visit, arriving with gifts, toys and books to help brighten up their day and bring comfort during what can often be a difficult time in the hospital.
The Children’s Hospital Trust, established in 1994, is an independent non-profit organisation dedicated to ensuring that children have access to the highest quality healthcare in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment.
It is a mission built on care, dignity and ensuring that young patients receive not only medical treatment, but also emotional support during times.
For the Stormers, the visit was about giving back to the community that supports them and sharing moments of joy with children who are fighting their own battles.
The players spent time interacting with the young patients, handing out toys, books and gifts, while also sharing smiles, conversations and encouragement throughout the visit.
